![]() If you don't feel like using your guns or you're just out of bullets, a heavy knife attack decapitates them, even if they do start the vomit animation. It's hard to tell because you're not sure where their necks start and head end, making you potentially use more bullets than you have to. One thing about trying to get headshots on them, be careful to not mistake their neck for their head. Bloats actually have a lot of health, just shoot them in the head. Please please PLEASE, do not shoot them in the gut. you can usually avoid getting barfed on by popping their head off. They exist to burn through your armor, which is both vital for surviving big zeds and very expensive. I'd say they are one of the most important zeds to kill of all of the trash.īloats: Like lightweights, they vomit a lot. Their scream doesn't hurt armor, which is good, but if you don't take care of them they'll bring your team down. For some reason, their heads are made of adamantium, so you'll be using quite a bit of bullets on them. Killing them is delegated to the commando, provided you don't have a firebug to just light up the whole crowd. You'll see them with a group of other zeds, to prevent you from using your grenades where they are most effective. They destroy projectiles (excluding bullets during zed time), which means grenades and all of demo's weapons (unless he has the perk ability). Sirens: Like your mum, they're loud and ugly. This usually puts the all the zeds on one side of you. If they do manage to sneak up on you, the best thing to is run left or right instead of forwards of backwards. They also do a lot of damage and do backflips over you, so by the time you turn around, they just backflipped over to your other side. So these zeds are invisible, obviously, and have the honor of trapping you when you're trying to backpedal away. Stalkers: Damn, it's that invisible bitch again. Listen for the clanging of metal so you don't get snuck up on. Be careful if you decapitate them though, while they can't charge they can still hit you and take away a good bit of your armor+health. Gorefast: a minisized colossal titan with blade for an arm, he charges at you and tries to hit you. Even on HellonEarth difficulty, a tier2 bash gibs their head (meaning they can't grab you) ![]() This is good to save ammo and not have to switch to your pistol in the heat of the fight, if a clot comes up to just bash it in the head. Most Tier 2 and up weapons can one shot these zeds with a melee bash (V). You shouldn't waste your big guns on them unless they would be collateral (like an RPG hitting a fleshpound and killing the trash around it) but you shouldn't always resort to your pistol. headless tusk cannot fire its gun or suicide)Ĭlot/cyst/slasher: They're really all the same, except some of them run faster and dodge attacks more. And remember: A headless zed cannot use its special attack (e.g. For example, Demo needs the firebug to kill scrakes, and the firebug needs the demo to kill the Fleshpounds. Certain perks are geared towards combating specific large zeds or trash, and you must work together to not get wiped. Large zeds being scrakes (chainsaw apron enthusiasts, they're big guys) and FleshPounds (Mr. ZEDS: there are two types of zeds in killing floor 2, trash and large zeds. I'll try get in as much as both, however. In addition, this guide will mostly be focused on the more in-depth stuff, like how to play firebug for double damage, rather than more obvious stuff like how sirens destroy grenades with her scream. Everything in this guide is subject to change as KF2 is tweaked and fine tuned over the next coming years. So I noticed that there was a sticky or general link that can be given for new players that really educates them about the more in-depth mechanisms of KF2, so I decided to write one.
